Leah joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2011. She started with Garrett Counseling as a practicum student and has been with our team ever since! She is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (#3334) and a Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor. She has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Tarleton State University and a Master’s in Community Agency Counseling from Jacksonville State University.
Leah enjoys working with all types of clients, but she works most with clients who are facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, or sexual concerns. She often begins with a Person-Centered/Client Centered approach to therapy then identifies what other therapeutic approaches would benefit each client. Leah says, “I use Sex Therapy for the following reasons: pelvic pain, painful intercourse, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, difficulty achieving orgasm, intimacy concerns, shame, non-traditional relationships/families, LGBTQQIA areas of concern, BDSM/KINK and poly/open relationships. I am a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Trans* friendly counselor that will not judge an individual for their sexual preference, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, or appearance.”
