This training is designed for the experienced play therapist or play therapist supervisor in an agency, private practice, or school setting who is interested in learning more about using the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI) as a play therapy intervention. We will cover the primary rationale and research behind the CFI specific to directive play therapy. Participants will utilize sandtray and Brave Play to learn how to engage supervisees in self-reflection of their own culture and how it impacts their role as a play therapist.
- Participants will discuss the basics of the Cultural-Formulation Interview and how to utilize it as a play therapy intervention in supervision.
- Participants will explain the rationale and research behind the CFI and how it can support diversity in their supervision practice.
- Participants will apply play therapy directives through sandtray and Brave Play to engage supervisees in developing a practice that is cultural and socially diverse.
- Limited to 50 participants.
- Attendee cameras must be on throughout the webinar
- A post-test will be required
