Provider Referrals

To refer a patient for treatment at Garrett Counseling, call our office at (256) 239-5662 or fax the referral and contact information to our office at (256) 217-4162.

Once we receive the referral information, we will verify the client’s insurance coverage (if applicable) and then contact them directly. If the client signs the release, we will fax a summary of treatment goals to your office following the client’s appointment with one of our counselors. Specifically for Medicaid clients who require a EPSTD screening and referral, we will be faxing updates to the PCP after the intake and then every time we update the treatment plan.

1.  Do you accept insurance?
   We accept several insurance providers, including BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama, AllKids, and Medicaid (for clients under 18 only). For specific questions regarding insurance we accept, contact our office at (256) 239-5662.
