Counselor Clint, LPC

Clint joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2021, but he has been working in the mental health field for over 30 years! He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#2015). He has a graduate degree from The University of Alabama in cognitive psychology and applied behavior analysis with a focus on how learning and memory processes operate across the life-span and in developmental/intellectual disorders. He also has a master’s degree in Agency Counseling from The University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Clint enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and couples. He commonly works with clients making life transitions.

Clint practices wellness by spending time near his Koi pond, learning and caring for plants (currently blueberries and muscadines), and fishing. A few interesting facts to help you get to know Clint better: His favorite books include "Ruling Your World" by Sakyong Mipham, "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White, and "Full Catastrophe Living" by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Clint finds a special connection with the characters of Arthur and Merlyn in T. H. Whites' "Once and Future King." He says, "I connect with these characters because they are the archetypes I identify with and are symbolic of the inner experience of individuation and integration of my psyche over the course of my life."
