Counselor Christina, ALC

Location: Huntsville 

Counselor Christina joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2025, and she has been in the mental health field for just over a year. She is an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC05631) practicing under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Garrett, PhD, LPCS (#0856), RPTS. She has a Master of Science in Counseling from Thomas University, a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Human Neuropsychology.

Christina often uses person-centered, emotion-focused, and trauma-informed approaches to therapy. She has experience working with adults and survivors of domestic violence, as well as working with anxiety, depression, life transition-related stress, and trauma. Christina says, “I’m very laid back and curious, preferring to let the client lead.”

Christina practices wellness by gaming with her partner and friends and walking her dog. She has an eight-year old yorkie named Teddi. Her favorite books include by Stephen Jay Gould and The Body Keeps The Score by Bessel van der Kolk. Christina finds a special connection with Moana because of how she perseveres.
