Counselor Natalie, MS, ALC, NCC

Natalie joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2023, and she has been working in the mental health field for over a year. She is an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Garrett, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S, ACS, NCC (LPC-S #0856). Natalie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance (Music) from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University.

Natalie enjoys working with adolescents, college students, and young adults, as well as those experiencing trauma, anxiety, or depression. She often uses a person-centered approach. Natalie says, “This approach manifests as a collaborative partnership between me and my clients wherein we are working toward their goals together.”

Natalie practices wellness by doing jigsaw puzzles, baking, listening to/playing music, reading, and spending time with friends. She a pet cat named "Eloise." A few interesting facts to help you get to know Natalie better: Her favorite books include "A Severe Mercy" by Sheldon Vanauken, "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie, and "The Boy Who was Raised as a Dog" by Bruce D. Perry. Natalie finds a special connection with Belle from "Beauty and the Beast." She says, "Similarly to Belle, I spend time reading and immersing myself in fantastical stories. I don't often care about going with the flow. I'll also occasionally find myself daydreaming about all kinds of possibilities."
