She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC). She has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice – Corrections, Master of Science in Community Agency Counseling, and an Education Specialist in Clinical Mental Health – all from Jacksonville State University.
Tanya enjoys working with clients experiencing substance use concerns, as well as young adult females (20s-40s) and older teenagers (15+). She typically uses person-centered and positivity approaches to counseling and says, “I believe that every person is their own person and deserves to be treated as such. I also lean heavily on gratitude and reflection and a general glass-half-full mentality.”
