Shawna Davis

I believe that every individual is wonderfully and beautifully created and deserves to be loved and treated with respect. People go through many different seasons during their life spans which cause a variety of emotions and consequences. Tough seasons may be directly related to our own choices, others’ choices, or life stressors.  During these challenging times, people need someone to talk to who is loving, compassionate, kind, helpful, honest, and trustworthy. As a counselor, I aspire to demonstrate these qualities so that people will feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. As a counselor, I utilize a variety of techniques to help people. I accept others where they are and understand that change occurs in its own special season.

Shawna is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#3956). Shawna earned her MA in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. Shawna is trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Nurturing Parenting. Shawna has treated both children and adults who have experienced a myriad of problems such as substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, and phase of life adjustments.
