Holly joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2026, and she has been in the mental health field for over 3 years. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Holly also holds Graduate Certificates in Marriage and Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Holly primarily uses person-centered and strengths-based approaches to therapy, often incorporating motivational interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Narrative Therapy. She enjoys working with couples, families, and children who are navigating life changes and daily stress and anxiety, as well as those who have experienced trauma.

Her favorite books include "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down" by Anne Fadiman, "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson, and "Your Family Revealed" by Elaine Carney Gibson. She finds a special connection with Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation. Holly says, "I have been told my personality type is very similar, and I find myself relating to Leslie often when watching the show."
