Counselor KaTina, LICSW

KaTina joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2024, but she has been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). KaTina has a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Oakwood College (University) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Alabama A&M University.

KaTina enjoys working with young, middle aged, and senior adults and assisting them with navigating life transitions, stress management, loss, and relationship issues. She often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), among other therapy methods. KaTina says, “I assist clients with exploring their core beliefs, reframing, identifying strengths, and assisting with identifying unhealthy thoughts & behaviors.”
