Leslie joined the Garrett Counseling team in 2026 and has worked in social work for over 18 years. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her master’s degree from Jacksonville State University in 2022.

Leslie’s counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also remaining flexible and individualized to each client’s needs. She says, “I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences while developing practical strategies for creating healthier patterns. Most importantly, I strive to create a **safe, authentic, and judgment-free therapeutic space where clients can be themselves, feel heard and respected, and work collaboratively toward meaningful growth and lasting change.” Leslie often works with clients who are experiencing major life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression.

Highlights -
Leslie practices wellness by spending time in nature through kayaking, hiking, and exploring waterfalls. She also enjoys caring for plants, especially her succulents, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Leslie has two dogs, Lucy and Remus. Her favorite books include The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, Braving the Wildnerness by Brene Brown, and The Body Keeps Score by Bessel van der Kolk.
