Counselor Sheila, LPC

Location(s): Jacksonville

Sheila joined the Garrett Counseling in 2025, and she has been in the mental health field since 1998. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s degree from Jacksonville State University in 2023.

Sheila enjoys working with clients of all ages experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and bipolar. She says, “After utilizing many of the different therapeutic approaches in practice, I have found that an Integrative Therapy approach provides flexibility by encouraging the use of various elements from any of the therapeutic modalities. Having the advantage of drawing on aspects of different theories and techniques allows me to personalize my Counseling style; therefore, I can meet people where they are and adapt as their needs change. I feel it is essential to use a holistic approach, such as Integrative Therapy, to ensure that all factors that may influence an individual are taken into consideration.”
