Starting out in this field is exciting and overwhelming in equal measure. New populations, clinical documentation, supervision hours, and a real caseload for the first time – all at once. We know that. And we’ve spent over twenty years figuring out how to actually support new clinicians through it.
At Garrett Counseling, you won’t be handed a login and left to figure it out. From day one, you’ll have active supervision multiple times a week, an onboarding coordinator guiding you through clinical training, a documentation coordinator providing specific feedback on your clinical writing, and a team around you that genuinely wants to answer your questions. When our newer clinicians describe their early experience here, a few things come up consistently: they always knew who to ask, they never felt alone, and when something went wrong, the response was guidance – not judgment.
One of our clinicians put it simply: there is at least one person here who has worked in that specialty and can walk you through it. You’re not on your own.

What you get:
- In-house ALC/LMSW supervision (ABEC/ASBSWE)
- Sandtray certification through Brave Play (Levels 1 & 2) within the first six months
- Documentation training and ongoing coaching
- Up to 20 free CEUs per year

What we’re looking for:
- Active ALC or LMSW licensure, or an upcoming master’s graduate in counseling or social work, eligible for licensure
- Eagerness to grow and learn
