Workshop Description:
Research supports that the presence of a counselor, and how a counselor makes connections with a client, are the most impactful factors affecting the client’s journey toward healing. This training is designed for the counselor in an agency, private practice, or school setting who is interested in learning more about using the skill of presences and attunement to cultivate mindfulness in the therapeutic relationship. Intermediate Level.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will overview the basics of neural integration.
- Participants will learn and practice what “triception” is and how to utilize this mindfulness skill during therapy sessions.
- Participants will learn and practice what “attunement” is and how to utilize this mindfulness skill during therapy sessions.
- Participants will learn and apply the mindsight skill “window of tolerance” and how to utilize this skill during therapy sessions.
