Interactive Role-Playing: Navigating a Client’s First Disclosure of Suicidal Ideation
This session focuses on appropriate therapeutic responses, essential risk assessment protocols, review of protective factors, and best practices for accurate documentation. Counselors will move through case studies and practice appropriate therapeutic responses.

Wednesday, January 8th, 2025: 10:00 AM -11:00 AM CST
This workshop is designed to aid counselors in understanding a wide view of suicidality as a family issue, community crisis, as well as an individual response to a belief in hopelessness and helplessness. Topics will include early identification of the potential for current and future danger in clients as people groups live in human and natural disasters, cultural discrepancies, and personal mental/physical health symptomology.
