Program Content Description:
The Enneagram is a dynamic personality framework that offers counselors deep insight into human motivations, fears, and patterns of relating. When integrated into counseling practice, it enhances therapeutic effectiveness by increasing self-awareness, supporting professional growth, and deepening relational attunement with both clients and colleagues.
This 2-hour experiential training introduces counselors to the nine Enneagram personality types and provides practical applications for use in clinical practice, consultation groups, and ongoing professional development. Participants will engage in guided self-reflection, structured exploration, and practical exercises designed to strengthen their therapeutic presence and flexibility.
Participants will take the Enneagram quiz before the workshop.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify and describe the nine Enneagram personality types, including core motivations, fears, and behavioral patterns that influence therapeutic work.
- Assess personal Enneagram type through self-reflection exercises and structured exploration to increase self-awareness of professional strengths and blind spots.
- Evaluate personal therapeutic effectiveness by examining how type-specific tendencies may enhance or limit clinical skills within the therapeutic relationship.
- Develop targeted growth strategies based on Enneagram insights to address identified areas for professional development and expand therapeutic flexibility.
- Apply Enneagram awareness to create actionable plans for ongoing self-supervision and professional growth that align with individual type patterns and growth edges.
- Use the Enneagram to join with, relate to, and empower colleagues quickly and effectively, integrating the Enneagram into consultation group practices.

Cost: $40 (includes 2.0 CE hours, NBCC approved)
Cancellation Policy: If you contact us before the program date, you may exchange for a certificate to attend another program or a tuition refund less a cancellation fee of $10.00. Occasionally, changes are made due to unforeseen circumstances or participant demand. While Garrett Counseling will do everything possible to ensure participant satisfaction, Garrett Counseling’s liability is limited to the tuition fee only. If you cancel 10 business days before the event, you will receive a full refund. Cancellation must be received in writing and can be faxed to 1-256-217-4162 or emailed to garrett@garrettcounseling.com. If cancellation is not received in writing, you will be charged the full tuition.
